High Conductivity Galvanized Steel Round Armour Wires (R Wire)
Galvanized round steel wire has been produced from SAE 1006 quality wire rod, which is high conductivity (low resistance) properties by hot deep galvanizing process.
Mechanical features of the armour wires comply with BS EN 10257-1:1998 standard, while coating features comply with BS EN 10244-2:2009 standard. Depending on the requirement of the client, armour wires can be manufactured in concordance with other cable standards, such as BS5467, BS6724 or IEC60502, and the wire is specifically manufactures in accordance with the requirements of the client.
Armour wire can be packed in and shipped in the form of rosette coils, single-use baskets or wooden or metallic coils.
The products are used for manufacturing low-current, low-voltage and medium voltage cables such as Energy, telecommunication, instrumentation, Traffic signal, underwater and data etc.
In the cable sector, mostly this kind of wires is shortly called SWA. (SWA: Steel Wire Armour)
High Conductive Galvanized Round Steel Wire
The mass of zinc coating of the armour wires complies with the BS5467 and BS6724 cable standards, as per Table 1 of these standards. In addition to the high conductivity, the mass of zinc coating is lower than some other standards which are individually indicated in the Table.
